Keanu Reeves (Keanu Charles Reeves) is a Canadian actor (born in Lebanon) who got a worldwide fame after starring in the movies Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure, Bill and Ted’s Bogus Journey, Speed, and The Matrix (and its sequels).

Birth and childhood
Keanu Reeves was born on 2 September 1964 in Beirut, Lebanon and his first name, translated from Hawaiian, means “cool breeze over the mountains.” Reeves is 6′ 1″ (1.85 m) tall. His mother’s name was Patricia Taylor, and she was an English-born showgirl. Keanu’s father was an American geologist called Samuel Nowlin Reeves.
His father was generally of a mixed origin – Native Hawaiian, British, Portuguese, and Chinese. This marriage did not last long, so his mother took him and his younger sister, Kim Reeves, and went to Australia. After a while, they moved to New York City and then settled down in Toronto. The family of three moved around a lot, and the kids had various stepfathers.
In the meantime, Keanu’s father got imprisoned in Hawaii for selling heroin at the airport. In Toronto, young Reeves attended four high schools in a-five-years time and once got expelled. He claimed: “I was just a little too rambunctious and shot my mouth off once too often. I was not generally the most well-oiled machine in the school. I was just getting in their way, I guess.”
While living in New Jersey, Reeves claimed to have experienced an encounter with a ghostly suit. When talking about this experience, he claimed: “I remember just staring at this suit which had no body or legs in it as it came into the room before disappearing. It was a double-breasted suit in white and I looked at my nanny, who was just as shocked as me. I just couldn’t get back to sleep afterward.”
Later, in Toronto, he worked as a manager at a restaurant. In his high school, Keanu took a keen interest in ice hockey ( he got the nickname “The Wall”) and drama but soon dropped out of school to pursue his acting career.
Acting career
After leaving high school, he first starred in a few commercials and some short TV movies. His most famous role at the time was from the commercial for Coca-Cola.
He also took part in the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation youth program “Going Great, ” but his first serious role was in the movie Youngblood (1986). Later on, he made his way to Hollywood by driving all the way there in his 1969 Volvo. His ex-stepfather, Paul Aaron, was a stage and television director who helped him at the time.
He continued to get some small roles until he landed his first popular role of Ted Logan in Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure (1989).
In 1994, the action film Speed was released presenting Reeves opposite Sandra Bullock. Even though he had a huge success with Speed, he turned down a huge paycheck for Speed 2: Cruise Control and went touring with his band. Yes, Keanu Reeves had a band called Dogstar where he played the bass guitar. The band doesn’t exist anymore. In the early 2000s, Keanu performed in the band Becky for a whole year.
Keanu was offered the role in the movie Heat which later went to Val Kilmer. Instead of playing in the Heat, he went on to play Hamlet at a 789 seat theater in Manitoba.
Family life and stalkers
In December 1999, Reeves was struck by a tragedy when his girlfriend, Jennifer Syme, gave birth to a stillborn daughter. As if that was not tragical enough, the next year, Syme died in an automobile accident.
Stalkers somehow love Keanu Reeves. There was one stalking ‘event’ on September 12, 2014, when he woke up at night to hear someone in his home. There was a female stalker in his library waiting for him. He secretly called the police, and they arrested her and took her in for psychological evaluation.
Only three days afterward, another female stalker made her way into his home, undressed and took a shower in his bathroom. Then she swam naked in his swimming pool. Reeves was not at home, but the cleaning crew became suspicious and called him. The police came and arrested this stalker.
As far as we know, Keanu Reeves has never married, so maybe he could have given a chance to some of those stalkers. Maybe they were not actual stalkers. After all, just some girls in love with their favorite actor. What do you think?
