Who would have thought that any celebrity wouldn’t want to use Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or the Intenet in general? But there are even some who don’t want to use a computer, let alone go on the internet. Let’s see who these unusual celebrities are.

Brad Pitt
Surprised? Well, according to the interview he gave to Newsweek in 2009, he didn’t even know how the computers worked. He claimed that “the publicity machine”, the term he used to refer to a computer, was not within his field of interest. He said:
“There’s this whole other entity that you get sucked into. You have to go and sell your wares. It’s something I never made my peace with.“
Even so, Brad has had a Twitter account from December 2013.
Sarah Jessica Parker
Back in 2013, in an interview given to E!News, Sarah Jessica Parker claimed she was not using a mobile telephone. She said she had been receiving too many voice mails, phone calls, and emails, and that was bothering her much. Sarah also added that she didn’t see the point in constant sharing photos all over the social networks.
Eminem
Yes, Eminem too. This famous rapper explained to Spin back in 2010 that he didn’t know how to use a computer. He stated:
“Here’s why I don’t know how to work a computer. If I learn how I’m going to be on that b—- all day looking at comments about me, and it’s going to drive me crazy.”
It sounds reasonable, but still, Eminem does have a Twitter account which he uses from time to time but has had no more than 642 tweets in 8 years.
Jennifer Lawrence
“I’m not very good at phones or technology. I cannot really keep up with emails, so the idea of Twitter is so unthinkable to me.”
This was a statement taken from Jennifer’s interview given to BBC Radio 1 back in 2014. As we have checked, there are a few pages related to her work on Twitter and Facebook, but those are only fan pages, not the official one. So, Jennifer hasn’t changed her mind in the previous two years.
Jake Gyllenhaal
In his interview in 2014, Jake Gyllenhaal said that he could not understand people who spent most of their day looking at their phones rather than speaking with those in their immediate surroundings. He claimed it was something he couldn’t understand and that he himself didn’t want to live in the spotlight offscreen. Today, Jake has a Twitter account where he often retweets posts related to his work made by other people.
Rachel McAdams
In 2009, McAdams claimed that she didn’t own a TV and wasn’t much familiar with social networks. We have checked and, she still doesn’t have social media accounts.
George Clooney
Clooney is known to have been a serious opponent of Facebook and Twitter. He once stated:
“I’d rather have a rectal examination on live TV by a fellow with cold hands than have a Facebook page. I think anyone who is famous is a moron if they’re on Twitter.”
Winona Ryder
In a few interviews back in 2010, Winona Ryder claimed that she never used the internet nor a computer. Even though that was almost 7 years ago, the things haven’t changed much since only last year she thought that Snapchat was some type of chips.

Christopher Walken
Last year, in an interview with Newsweek about his movie, “The Family Fang,” Christopher Walken claimed he was one of those people who doesn’t want to learn how to use a computer. He said it made him peaceful not to be able to do that. We heard that whenever Walken shoots some movie, someone from the crew gives him a phone for the shooting and after the shot ends, he returns the phone to its owner.
“My wife always says to me, because she has a computer — apparently, you can look yourself up. You can do all sorts of masochistic things. I never have that temptation.”
Be that as it may, many celebrities are trying to avoid social networks. On the other hand, there are those who are obsessed with Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.
